A new £150 million government fund has been launched to deliver quick, visible improvements to high streets, parks and community facilities across the UK.
The Pride in Place Impact Fund (PiPIF), announced in September 2025, will provide capital funding to 95 selected local authorities in England, Scotland and Wales. The initiative forms part of the wider 10-year Pride in Place Programme, a long-term regeneration plan worth up to £5.8 billion aimed at empowering communities to shape the future of their neighbourhoods.
Funding and timeline
Under the Impact Fund, each selected area will receive up to £1.5 million over two financial years running until March 2027 and is focused entirely on capital investment — projects are expected to include upgrades to high streets, plus improvements to parks and public spaces.
Targeted and community-led
The 95 areas were chosen based on levels of deprivation and local satisfaction data, identifying communities considered most in need of support.
While funding is administered by local authorities, decisions on how it is spent are intended to be community-led. Councils are working with residents, stakeholders and local Neighbourhood Boards to identify priority projects and ensure the improvements reflect local needs.
With funding now being rolled out, communities are expected to begin delivering projects that aim to make an immediate difference to local pride and public spaces by 2027. A full copy of the fund prospectus can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/pride-in-place-impact-fund
